Cape Town Glory

 Remembering the good times always helps me with my Monday blues. A memory I have chosen to rewind today is my touchdown in CT July 28th of last year. The Mango ride was not so bad,but it being my first flight and all,I'm guessing its just because I didn't know better *embarrassed*. As a warm-welcome,we(me, my Sister and her friend Lebo) hailed a cab and I got acquainted with CT nightlife: off to Cubana Greenpoint we went. It was something I can't quite put in words,just a perfect mix of cultures and an inviting dance floor.

It served as a warm-welcome and a great goodbye as we hit it the night before I left. Almost missed my flight,wouldn't have heard the pilot saying: "This is a non-smoking flight. If we find you smoking,we will ask you to leave the plane IMMEDIATELY. Seriously though,we will fine you R7000.00. And for these prices, you could be flying SAA". #epic. Not even the Asian chick attempting the booty-hop at Kennedy's Dubliner could top that.

A wise man once said: "We do not attract the things we want, but rather, we attract the things we are". So I hope it does not come as a suprise to you, the reader, when I possess qualities that spell out a person's name. A person who has been there for me from the word GO, a lady who takes her time to hear me blab about my silly encounters, a friend who questions my logic and tests my intelligence. A fascinating being that shares with me, everything life has to offer to her. =) Dear Reader, only the Pope knows what good I have done to deserve such a wonderful person in my life. We have had our ups and downs, but to err is human, to forgive divine. She has looked past my flaws and has come to accept me just the way I am. All the more reason, for me to love her madly. ;-)

What's in a name? Since the beginning of time, children have been given names in the hopes that they can live up to them. A good name has been believed to confer a blessing towards the child.

But nowadays, you find a girl named "Bontle" who wouldn't make it past the auditions in a beauty pageant or a boy named "Innocent" who has seen the bars of a prison from the wrong side too many times.

It is not often that you get people who live up to their names. And from the dictionary definition extract, you start to think that there isn't anybody in the world today who can live up to the name "Precious" right? Wrong! I have had the pleasure of knowing one.

A girl who makes every moment her moment,a Precious moment.

A girl who takes her time as her name suggests: Precious.

A girl who appreciates each breath as a Precious gift from God.

A girl who is so Precious, I could write about her all day if only her name didn't tell you everything about her already.
